I had to climb very very high to see my qualities in mountaineering, hiking, etc. to be able to do this Mont-Blanc“, Daniela began.

“The only positive thing I get from this is that fortunately I am not alone and that I wasn’t the only woman to experience what I experienced.. In a group of 8, I was with very dishonest people, who made me live a nightmare! Whether it was sexism, misogyny… They treated me abominably. Really. I think the guides took a dislike to us women. Maybe they saw that we didn’t belong in the group… I had moments… I don’t even know how I managed to keep quiet because I put myself in danger, and I was in danger” she added.
“From the beginning, I felt that the atmosphere in this group was not right. From the beginning, I felt that I was too much, and I said nothing, I took it upon myself. I noticed that two other women in the group felt the same way. (…) We were really badly treated by men.. They didn’t talk to us at all. It was a very difficult experience for me. I didn’t leave with the right people.” she continued, traumatized by her experience.

While Daniela Pinto’s distress is obvious, some have still found a way to criticize her. But fortunately, her boyfriend stepped up to defend her in an Instagram story.
“It is deeply shameful that in 2024, macho behaviors still persist in our society. (…) A strong and determined woman who dreamed of climbing Mont Blanc. Her ambition was tragically interrupted by a macho man whose backward attitude decided to forbid her this adventure“, he wrote, scandalized, before insisting: “It is unacceptable that archaic prejudices can still dictate women’s choices and aspirations. Daniela deserves to pursue her dreams without being held back by mentalities that have no place in our times.“.
