A vegetarian since the age of 8, the actress chose the “York” ankle boots for the film. The adventure began last February with an email from its costume designer to Marie Viard-Klein, the founder. “She wanted three pairs of boots for the shoot, but we only had one in stock. With our workshop in Portugal, we were able to produce the two additional pairs in three days,” says Marie Viard-Klein.
A few weeks later, the news came: the shoes were included in the filming. “It’s an incredible recognition to see our products worn by such a committed actress. »
Corn ankle boots
York ankle boots are made from recycled cereals (corn) and linen inserts. They are available on the brand’s online store, for pre-order for March 2025 at the price of 165 euros. The brand is present in the South-West in the Péonie concept store in Pau.
In 2024, the company sold 35,000 pairs of shoes and achieved a turnover of 2.1 million euros.
