First of all, it evokes the so-called atmospheres cosy. “The rise of sweet scents comes from their ability to evoke comfort, indulgence and familiarity, particularly in times of uncertainty, as we have seen particularly during the pandemic”she assures, before confirming that the trend had “significantly increased” and that “we are moving towards a softer, cozier and warmer composition rather than simple vanilla perfumes”. She then cites the nutmegthe cashmere or the salted caramel which can be associated with “less conventional elements like metallic or mineral notes”. She does not forget to indicate also that notes ofmaple and of nut could gradually impose themselves on our choices. Moreover, the aromas echoing nature should also continue to appeal. Media influences

His colleague Sable Young specifies for her part that we should expect to see other trends emerge linked to new generations and their relationship to smells. This is why we could witness a resurgence of body mistsperfumes in cute packaging and branding that appeals to identity and mood. “I think all these Sephora tween stories from the last couple of years have been making the rounds in beauty incubators and investor crowds, and we’re going to see a lot of ‘hello, fellow kids’ brands offering cute and accessible perfumes for young people”she assumes from the outset. For Caroline Sabas, the sweet essences are not, however, destined to disappear. Quite the contrary! She believes that “now that people are finally being seduced by vanilla, it opens the door to all other forms of sweetness”. “Everyone has had their dose of vanilla, so people will be looking for the same kind of sweetness from new notes”evoking in the lines the gummiesTHE marshmallows and the chewing-gumswithout forgetting to point out that they could also become more alcoholic.

Also, the very strong perfumes and capable of filling an entire room marked the year 2024. The trend should accelerate in 2025! “Layering products, like matching body oils or hair perfumes, will gain popularity to personalize intensity”continues the specialist, reinforced by Tynan Sinks, for whom “Body brands will offer more scented products, and perfume brands will launch hand and body washes, body lotions and hand creams”. “We’re already seeing this with brands like DedCool and Nécessaire expanding their body collections, and Sol De Janeiro continues to win in the body space”we underline, before concluding by evoking a seventh and final trend: the position taken by personalities or major brands who will continue to invest in the field. “Today, everyone, including influencers, athletes, beloved fast food chains, will launch a fragrance, either as a limited edition marketing item or as a universe for an existing brand”finally affirms Sable Yong. So who or what will you turn to?
