A range of activities as varied as they are abundant awaits regulars (and others) of the Bélaye bar-convent-panorama-exhibition. The first evening of Saturday January 11 at 9 p.m. will be devoted to a concert by the legendary Webo Torres for a Latin and “caliente” guitar and voice evening. The Belaycois already appreciated his talent last year and are impatiently awaiting his return.
The players bring a prize
Saturday January 18 at 9 p.m., it’s time for the game; in this case a lottery (€2 per box) in order to win lots of nice prizes. Players can even bring a prize to be put into play and make someone happy; for example, a gift they were given at Christmas that risks gathering dust.
Sunday January 19, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., poet and biographer Brigitte Guilhot will lead a writing workshop. Author of novels, short texts and short stories, she settled in the Lot in 2020. She is considering an original theme: “In 2025, free your imagination. In this writing circle I propose to play together with words, to compose haikus, fragments of short texts, to write essential, tiny or frivolous things by opening our imagination and daring the poetry of everyday life. Don’t hesitate to bring a notebook or notebook as well as an inspiring photo. » Upon registration: 12 participants maximum; participation €20 per person.
Not forgetting the darts tournaments and raclette evenings
Singing again on Saturday January 25 at 9 p.m. with the return, for our greatest joy, of Mathilde Limal; graduated in lyrical singing (Paris Conservatory), in baroque singing (Aix en Provence Conservatory), she has always loved honoring French song. In 2014, she moved to Kuala-Lumpur, Malaysia, where she explored world jazz and folk. She wanders from country to country and says she sings to bring sunshine and touch the hearts of the world.
Alongside these special events, let’s remember the traditional ones: every Thursday evening at 9 p.m. there is a darts tournament; every Friday evening from 7 p.m. raclette evening (all you can eat formula €25) by reservation without forgetting the exhibition of the month. The Convent opens its doors from Thursday to Sunday from 4 p.m. to midnight; on Sunday morning from 10 a.m. to noon, you can gather around a hot drink and a pastries in front of the panorama.
