(Ecofin Agency) – With the aim of developing ICC in the Indian Ocean region, an academy offers young people training in three specializations: 3D animation, video games and cinema.
ONY Academy, a training project co-created by French singer OrelSan in Madagascar, has launched a call for applications for training courses in professions in the cultural and creative industry (ICC). The call for applications concerns three areas, namely 3D animation, video games and cinema.
The 3D animation training course, called Animhouse, allows learners to acquire skills in character animation. It extends over two years and requires a commitment of 5 days per week. The video game training course, known as Helloworld261, provides basic skills in video game development with the aim of developing a prototype. This training lasts between 5 to 7 months.
As for the course on cinema (Workshop 7), it focuses on the techniques of making a film from start to finish. It is planned to last six weeks during which learners will have the opportunity to work directly on short films.
Free training combines theory and practice. They also address the subject of cultural entrepreneurship. There is no level of education required to participate in the training. However, candidates are required to have reached the age of majority, to be available, motivated, creative and to have skills in French. Other requirements will be requested depending on the training course chosen.
This training initiative aims to train a critical mass of ICC professionals in order to create regional dynamics in the Indian Ocean, as well as to participate in cultural exchanges, talent development and the development of economic opportunities.
The deadline for applications is January 15. The face-to-face classes will begin during the month of February.
