His bestsellers? Langon, Bazas and Saint-Macaire. His miracle recipe? Clean graphics and warm colors to represent the most beautiful facades and bell towers in South Gironde. “We can define the style as modern vintage. Neo-chic if you want (laughs).” Based in Langon for twenty years as a graphic designer and communications manager, Laëtitia Piteau launched her brand Voyage en posters last year. A series of illustrations dedicated to the south of the department and drawn in vector images.
In the spotlight
“I was used to this style of drawings for private clients. For advertising materials or logos for example. But it’s becoming more and more popular. For decoration, it has become very popular. We see them in every house now. And there was no poster in this style for South Gironde. » In her workshop in downtown Langon, the designer imagined a series of around twenty posters to decorate our interiors, while retaining the 100% local DNA. Bazas, Langon, Verdelais, Saint-Macaire, Caudrot or even Castelmoron-d’Albret, there is no shortage of inspiration to select the places of character.
“We all have very personal attachments. There are people who spent their childhoods in these villages. And people continue to ask me for other places, like La Réole very often,” explains Laëtitia Piteau. And that’s good, because the graphic designer has no shortage of ideas to expand her range. Soon the lateral canal or even the fossil oysters of Sainte-Croix-du-Mont… Always in southern Gironde colors.
Available in postcards, magnets or even bags, the illustrations will be in the spotlight all week from January 6 to 11, 2025 within the Club, a talent incubator, at the Promenade de Leclerc Langon.
