Nagui, Angela Lorente and Vincent Lagaf' were all three guests in the new long format of “Buzz TV” this Thursday, January 2 on Figaro TV Île-de-France. The recycling of cult shows was one of the subjects discussed. Nostalgia, the presenter of “Bigdil”, back on RMC Découverte since Thursday evening, regrets the way in which he hosted his game more than twenty years ago on the front page.

Straightforward, the sixty-year-old deplores the precautions taken to protect the candidates. “We practice self-censorship, we no longer mess around like we used to mess around with women, with religion, with races, with sexual orientations. We put the brakes on in a totally hypocritical and demagogic manner,” he notes on the set of «Grand Buzz TV». Words that Nagui wanted to qualify: “The side: “we can no longer laugh at anything”, I don't really agree. I simply think that when we realize that we can hurt, even if only by telling a candidate that he took his mother's sweater, if we do not know that his mother died is a month old and suddenly it becomes something hurtful, it's no longer even a joke, it becomes something extremely delicate”deciphers the host of “Don’t forget the lyrics” on France 2.

Vincent Lagaf', who brought together nearly 6 million people every evening to watch “Le Bigdil” in his heyday, underlines the precautions he now uses before filming a number. “At the start of each show, I go to see the candidates and I ask them if I can joke about everything, if there is no drama, no sick child…” he specifies while expressing his skepticism towards these new provisions.

The former presenter of “Just Price” judges these demagogic measures and recounts an anecdote that happened to him. “I received a really beautiful 42-year-old woman, so with my words I say: “it’s a fighter plane”. Despite everything, Vincent Lagaf' allowed himself a comment. “I told him: ‘I’m going to have trouble looking you in the eyes’”he explains. What Nagui reacted to: “If she wants it, you have to take responsibility for it. […] If she agrees with me there is no problem, on the other hand if she is shocked, there is a problem”estimates the producer.
