Storm Floriane crosses France this Monday January 6. The Ile-de-France departments, the Rhône region and the north-east are concerned.
Seventeen departments are now placed on orange alert for violent winds by Météo-France, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., this Monday, January 6. The previous vigilance placed 21 departments on orange vigilance.
The departments concerned are: Paris, Val-d'Oise, Seine-et-Marne, Essonne, Yvelines, Eure-et-Loire, Loiret, Loir-et-Cher, Aisne, the Marne, the Ardennes, the Meuse, the Rhône and the Loire.
The departments of Maine-et-Loire, Sarthe and Indre-et-Loire have gone into yellow alert.

“The depression named Floriane will generate a brief but clear strengthening of the wind in the first part of the day on Monday,” indicates Météo-France.
This storm “is accompanied by gusts of around 90 to 100 km/h. We could occasionally reach 110 km/h”, specifies the weather forecast institute.
“It shifts towards the Paris region at midday then towards the north-eastern regions at the start of the afternoon, to quickly evacuate towards Belgium”.
In anticipation of the passage of the storm, the SNCF had announced traffic restrictions, speed reductions and preventive service cancellations for this Monday.
