The 7e edition of the national final of the Voix des Outre-mer competition will be held on Wednesday January 8 at the Opéra Bastille, in Paris. Since 2019, the lyrical singer Fabrice di Falco and the association Countercurrents organize the Voix des Outre-mer competition to encourage the emergence of overseas singers at a national level and introduce them to the art of opera.
12 self-taught candidates, in training or professionals, from the overseas regional finals are in the running to compete in front of a jury of Music and media professionals, chaired by Richard Marteteditor-in-chief ofOpera magazine and lyrical art critic. During the evening, the “Voix des Overseas”, “Young Talent” and “The public’s favorite” prizes will be awarded.
The Overseas division of France Télévisions, partner and broadcaster of the event, will award a scholarship to the winners of the “Voices of Overseas” and “Young Talent” prizes, as well as a support scholarship to a self-taught resident in Overseas qualified for the national final.
Highlighted by the competition, the lyrical artists Axelle Saint-Cirel (Voice of Overseas Prize of the 5e edition) and Luan Pommier (Jury’s favorite prize of the 2e edition) are the exceptional guests of this 2025 edition.
