Kim Jones calls on Kaws again. The creative director of Dior Homme joins forces with the famous New York artist, who had already accompanied him during his very first fashion show for the star house of LVMH. The result of this new collaboration consists of a capsule collection designed by four hands under the sign of pop art and marketed at the start of 2025.

The “Dior and Kaws” collection exudes a joyful and pop energy, available in red, black and white with touches of yellow and neon green. It mixes the elegance of the French luxury brand with a more sporty and streetwear side infused by Kaws, whose real name is Brian Donnelly, who before becoming a pop culture star was a skateboarder and graffiti artist.

Quilted jackets, ribbed jackets, logo-embossed cardigans, shirts and ties can be combined with Teddy jackets, a white t-shirt, wrap-around knits, loose jogging pants and other cotton-faille Bermuda shorts. Without forgetting the essential bags and sneakers, as well as other accessories such as jewelry, scarves, glasses, key rings, a wallet and a cap.

The pieces are distinguished by the logo reworked in a playful spirit inspired by the symbol of the year 2025 in Chinese astrology. Namely the snake, which undulates in the letters and the famous capital D of Dior offering a new stylized version of the famous logo. The collection has been available in Dior boutiques since January 2 at prices ranging from 270 euros for the tie to 8,800 euros for the “American college” style jacket in virgin wool and cashmere.

“Kaws is incredible. He’s a person and artist that I really admire. Collaborating with him for the Spring/Summer 2019 collection was a pleasure and I thought it was the right time to replicate the experience,” comments Kim Jones in a press release. The English designer’s first show for Dior Homme made an impression in 2018, notably thanks to the spectacular installation imagined by the American artist, who erected a monumental sculpture in the shape of a teddy bear covered in roses in the middle of the catwalk. and peonies.

Kaws is often requested by luxury brands. In the past, he collaborated with Nigo and Pharrell Williams, today the creative directors respectively of Kenzo and Louis Vuitton men, two other houses in the LVMH galaxy. The French group was one of the first to bring fashion closer to contemporary art, as also illustrated by Louis Vuitton’s recent collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.
