The Puy-l’Evêque leisure and entertainment center (Clap) came in force to the Les Lavandes nursing home on Friday December 27 in the afternoon. Its objective was simple: to entertain the residents and bring them small gifts made by them; a noble project carried out regularly as part of intergenerational exchanges. Moments of meetings, appreciated by both young and old, took place in the large reception room of the house under the leadership of the host of the house, Stéphanie Vallet. The 25 Clapiens have carefully prepared Christmas carols in order to slightly change the daily lives of the residents, a significant part of whom only travel in wheelchairs. After the essential “Petit Papa Noël” and “Christmas, Christmas…”, the young singers performed with heart, a sadly topical song: “Children of Israel, children of Palestine”.
The Clapiens then transformed themselves into (little) Santas, offering the thirty or so residents present in the room gifts that they had made. A motivation, all to their credit, instilled by the animators Pierre Vessie, Aurélia Marty, Julie Candela and Hélia Clos-Gouch. The youngest ones made decorated Christmas wreaths, Christmas men and very original key rings. The older ones got into the kitchen making packets of cakes, cooked in the Clap premises. So many gifts that rejoiced the hearts of the elders.
