Sunday January 5, 2025, the Coulommiers ephemeral bookstore will close the book for this 2024 edition. But before turning the page, and diving into the preparations for the next events, a last signing session something special is on the program.

Among the events of this last weekend at the Ephemeral Bookstore, the meeting with Vahina Giocante is not to be missed. Present in the premises of the former Banque de on Saturday January 4 from 2 p.m., the young woman will participate in a conference meeting with the public at 4 p.m.

In dedications for “A Corps Ouvert”

Currently filming for her next film, Vahina Giocante will travel to Coulommiers especially for this event.

She will come to present her book “A Corps Ouvert”, published in March 2024 by Robert-Laffont. She testifies to her reconstruction after the incest committed by his father. She, like Judith Godrèche, implicated Benoît Jacquot in cases of sexual control.

In May 2023, she publicly defended Adèle Haenel on social networks, while the latter announced her definitive withdrawal from the world of cinema, an environment in which she denounces “the general complacency of the profession towards aggressors sexual and, more generally, the way in which this environment collaborates with the deadly racist ecocidal order of the world.

Vahina Giocante then announced that “like her and so many others, I was sexually abused as a child, with the difference that it was by my father. I discovered what incest was as early as I can remember until I was 11,” the actress wrote.

Vahina Giocante began her career at age 14, in the film Marie Bay of Angels by Manuel Pradal, then continued filming.

Confronted with “the violence of this environment that Adèle mentions with disgust, and that we have ALL encountered more or less frequently and more or less brutally”, she will move away from the cinema after a scene for the series Mata Hari.

That day, the producers asked him to “give everything, you have to get hard in your underwear”.

“I made the decision at that precise moment to send everything upside down like Adèle, to hide, to move away from the cameras that I love so much and to flee 10,000 kilometers for 7 long years of reflection, but above all of reconstruction” , she declared then.
