Before, Pauline Magalhaes celebrated New Year’s Eve in a small group, with friends. But, for this New Year’s Eve in 2024, it was she who received 80 people, all of whom chose to come and celebrate in her restaurant Le potager, avenue de Perpignan, purchased two years ago with Damien Aissou.
At 27, Pauline only dreamed of one thing to end the year 2024 well: forget the unfortunate incident of December 29, 2023 where a fire forced her and Damien to close their restaurant and cancel their first New Year’s Eve party planned for around a hundred people… New Year’s Eve in 2024 should therefore be unforgettable!
A starred menu
It was necessary to develop a tailor-made party menu that would surprise the guests and offer very festive entertainment that would please as many people as possible.
“I enjoyed taking care of the organization of this beautiful festive event which required four days of preparation. I asked Arnaud, who was trained at the starred restaurant Jules Verne on the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower, to William, trained at the one Michelin star gourmet restaurant Le Grand Cap on the cliff of Leucate, and Théodore, my father-in-law, who worked at La Table de Saint-Crescent in Narbonne – 2 stars in the Michelin guide – from show their know-how And they managed to develop a tailor-made menu with seven variations of dishes based on noble products. explains the young woman, delighted to have delighted her guests from all over and to have made them dance until the end of the night by bringing in a DJ recognized in the region, Kv Gomez.
“We worked from 9 a.m. to more than 2 a.m. It was a long day between preparing the dishes, sending the plates out in time so that at midnight, everyone could toast and celebrate, and to finish tidying up, but I don’t regret anything, it makes me happy to please and I even toasted with the regulars.” confides Pauline.
The challenge met, to make the last evening of the year an unforgettable festive evening, Pauline and Damien decided to take a little rest and reopen for Valentine’s Day.
