It’s a great challenge that these two brothers are taking on, and certainly a great adventure that is beginning for them. Alex Denis and Lloyd Coadier are half-brothers to be precise, and fans of games. Board, card, role-playing games… And they are about to open their store specializing in board games.

It is on rue Du Pouy that the new store has been gradually taking shape over the past two months. And in recent days, with the stalls filling up with games of all kinds, passers-by have become more and more curious as they walk past. The poster announcing the imminent opening of the store is no longer enough to stop some people. “Last night, I was there filling out some paperwork. One person came in, then another behind and so on… I found myself showing around ten people around the store,” smiles Lloyd Coadier.

Two months of work

Alex is a pastry chef and chocolatier, Lloyd has worked in catering and commerce. “I wanted to open my pastry shop. It couldn’t happen on time,” confides the youngest of the brothers. And it was last August that the idea of ​​opening a games store came to his mind. “I’ve been passionate about it since I was little. I went into a Guyajeux store on vacation in August. I spoke with the manager, then I met the people in charge of the franchise in September at the Vichy games festival. is done very quickly,” he says.

In a few months, the project was set up. An installation planned in Gimont was ultimately canceled at the last moment. No matter, it will be in the city center of Auch that this new space dedicated to games of all kinds will open. A prize pool has even been launched online to help them move forward faster. €3,500 was thus collected. The premises were found at the end of October and since then, the brothers have been working to put it in order.

Competitions and game evenings

Much more than a simple leisure activity, board games have become a real societal phenomenon. Alex and Lloyd intend to take advantage of it. Because it will not just be a store, but rather a store/game bar. An upstairs space is being developed to accommodate customers. All the games available in stores will be offered, it will be an opportunity to discover and test them with friends.

“We want to try to bring together the different games associations in the region, make the store available to create events. We are going to organize competitions, game evenings, introductions to role-playing games, miniature painting workshops, etc.”, s Alex and Lloyd’s enthusiasm.

And for advice and discoveries, customers can count on their expertise. They have been immersed in the universe since they were little. “We are focusing on new releases, but also on bestsellers. We will have everything, board games for the family, games for children and beginners alike. The advantage of the game is that it is practice from 3 to 99 years old.
