In the wake of Jamel Comedy Club or Kev Adams’ Fridge Comedy Club, the young comedian, 24 years old, Max’s Evans, is embarking on the same adventure of the comedy room. But what about it? A place where comedians perform in front of an audience to present their sketches or stand-up numbers in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. At 121 Franklin-Roosevelt Avenue, starting January 10, there will be laughter. Wednesday to Monday evening. In this small, intimate room which can accommodate 30 people, the principle, already in place in the other comedy rooms, will be simple: doors opening around 2 p.m., at 4 p.m. “open mic” or open mic for those who want to try their hand at stand-up and have no experience. “They can come and test their valves.” Entrance fee: €6 with a non-alcoholic drink. Humor, a vocation for Max’s Evans

Max’s Evans became known in 2023. This holder of a master’s degree in marketing rented, with his personal funds, the Montélimar convention center then the Zénith in Saint-Étienne. “And I managed to fill them. All by myself”he smiles. From a young age, Max’s Evans loved to make people laugh. “At 14, I improvised small shows in the street in Ardèche, in village halls or in the markets”he remembers.
