A brand new workshop, called La Ligne Rouge, has just opened its doors. This new exhibition space was created by Nathalie Lacasta, a graphic designer. The inauguration took place this Saturday, December 7, in the presence of many people, including elected officials and presidents of associations. This professional has worked at festivals in Condom and for Tempo Latino in Vic-Fezensac.
At the same time, she wanted to launch this workshop: “I stopped Tempo, wanting to emancipate myself and do, finally, what I wanted! I had the opportunity to have this store. Like, I had participated in the Avoz’art festival in Mourède, with Béatrice Fernando, we discussed it, and having the idea, she encouraged me in my project. She supported and encouraged me And the baby is. born !”
For this first exhibition, Nathalie invited four artists, who will present their works in her studio until Friday March 31. Béatrice Fernando, the president of Avoz’Arts, who opens this festival every year, exhibits her creations: “Through a mysterious mixture of ceramic and sandstone, sculptures with often filiform bodies are born.” The work of Christine Alias, “through creations of a figurative nature, including her terracotta sculpture, is a perpetual search for the expression of human feelings”. Florancia Cairo is a painter: “I offer you odes to nature, which weave a framework between strength and fragility. The layers reveal intense colors, coming from the earth”. Finally, ceramist Véronica Newman “works clay, as thin as possible, in order to exploit its fluidity and translucency”.
Nathalie Lacasta has lots of ideas and concludes: “I will organize an exhibition every quarter with other artists and within each quarter animations, graphics, which I will propose to local organizers”.
