Let’s perhaps bet on Stacey Kent, an American singer with a bit of folk elegance who seamlessly moves from jazz standards to French songs. Eric Bibb will not fail to attract the attention of fans of suave and chiaté blues. The Blackbyrds, a group founded more than 50 years ago by trumpeter Donald Byrd, can also seduce with its vintage and creamy jazz-funk, despite its only two original members.

But the youngest will turn without hesitation to Jacob Banks, a Briton of Nigerian origin surfing soul, R&B and hip-hop with his smoky voice, and his running mate Cherise, already seen in Montreux.

Last but not leastAshley Henry, who just released the album “Who We Are,” occupies perhaps the most rightful place under a jazz banner as a pianist, singer, composer and producer capable of many things – and especially the best . Play your games… and your gifts at the same time.
