The rapper, accused by at least six ex-partners of violence, death threats and kidnapping, will be tried this Tuesday, July 2, before the Paris Criminal Court.
Nearly four years after the events, the time has come for the trial. In September 2020, three young women filed a complaint against Moha La Squale, accusing him of sexual violence, kidnapping, beatings and threats. In total, at least six of them – all ex-partners – will submit their case to the courts and testify to the police. This Tuesday, July 2, the rapper is preparing to appear before the 14th correctional chamber of the Paris judicial court and answer for his actions.
Mohamed Bellahmed, alias Moha La Squale, was arrested on a European arrest warrant on January 31 in Germany. He had been on the run for several weeks, even though he was under house arrest with electronic surveillance in Paris. The court decision was taken following his indictment, in July 2022, for the rape of an ex-partner. A year earlier, in June 2021, he had already been taken into police custody for sexual assault and violence.
Chilling testimonies
One of the complainants told the police: “He threatened me with reprisals, to send men to slash my face… or to rape me in a cellar and he would come himself to carve on the skin of my back ‘The Shark’‘”. A chilling testimony, but far from isolated. “He locked the door to his house when I told him I wanted to leave. He put the keys in his pocket and then told me: ‘The only time you leave my house is to go into police custody and get fucked by tramps, that will make me hard’”, continues another, as reported 20 Minutes.
Stories that Moha La Squale defended himself against on X, in April 2021, denying everything. “I have never, EVER laid a hand on a woman. This plot was perpetuated to harm me.”he said at the time. It is now up to the courts to decide on his fate: they will deliver their judgment on Friday, July 5, at the end of the trial.
