For four days, the Cinema Festival allows you to watch a film on the big screen for five euros. Not bad ? And it starts this Sunday June 30, 2024 and until Wednesday July 3.

For this 39th edition (the first Cinema Festival took place in 1985, editor’s note), many anticipated films are still showing. A godsend for them.

As a reminder, the Cinema Festival is organized by the Fédération Nationale des Cinémas Français, “a union of professional unions of cinema owners and operators”.

All films concerned

Thus, until July 3, the price of a ticket is five euros for all films showing in participating cinemas. All, except those in 3D, 4Dx or iMax, subject to the usual rate.

Among the films on display, spectators will still be able to enjoy this spring’s unexpected hit: A little something extraArtus’ film.

This Friday, June 28th, was released Le Comte de Monte Cristo with Pierre Niney. For the little ones, Vice Versa 2 is still in theaters.

There are also a myriad of other films in theaters and at five euros it’s a bargain.

A more expensive euro since 2023

For the 2023 edition, the ticket price increased from four to five euros. The event still attracted 3.1 million spectators.

An increase which is also part of the general increase in the price of places: + 2.7% this year. As a reminder, in normal times, the average price of a cinema ticket is 7.39 euros, according to the National Cinema Center (CNC). But in some cinemas, the prices are much higher.
