This year, the 11th edition of the Human Rights Forum of the Gnaoua Festival is placed under the theme of Morocco-Spain-Portugal relations.
Taking part in this debate which is being held on June 28 and 29, the former President of the Government of Spain, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero said during his introductory speech: “It is a pleasure to be here, once again more, in Morocco, in this land of peace, in this congress and this cultural festival of understanding A demand invites us to work together for the defense of the rights of men and women. 2030, organized by our three friendly countries, the world football competition for peace.
“So all three of us should commit ourselves so that in 2030, we reach this point where peace reigns in the world. I would like to condemn Israel’s barbaric actions here. There is no right to defense that allows children, girls, women and young people to be killed with impunity,” he continued.

The future of peace, of progress, the future of dignity in all corners of the planet will depend on everyone. That is why I believe that this debate, this festival with all its traditional baggage, must serve as a factor of motivation, encouragement and support,” added the Spanish official.
“It is here that we live music and it is here that we live culture. And where culture teaches, it is there where culture softens morals, therefore facilitating peace. The Mediterranean is above all the space of culture. Great civilizations were born in the Mediterranean. Today, Spain, Morocco and Portugal have a great responsibility to bear.
