Supercooled ambitious Saturday at Chantilly

In the absence of a group, the meeting proposed on Saturday at Chantilly nevertheless promises to be interesting with three listed races on the programme. In the Prix de Saint-Patrick (1,600 m), reserved for 3-year-old colts, Supercooled attracts attention. Sure winner of the Prix Machado then honorable sixth in the Poule d’Essai des Poulains, the resident of André Fabre should appreciate the strengthening of the ground and promises to be formidable. Regularity models, Retouch et Suchet are also part of it and can nourish ambitions, like Shadiziback on the grass, No Lunch et Saidi El Falhaving just won their maiden with ease.

The Sandringham Prize line

In the counterpart reserved for 3-year-old females, the Prix de Bagatelle, the line of the Prix de Sandringham attracts attention. In this group II contested on June 2 on the Chantilly mile, Cetera et Tilt-gaia were only outstripped (clearly) by Sparkling Plenty, recent winner of the Prix de Diane, and promise to be very competitive. Second in the Marcel Boussac Prize during the fall, Rose Bloom could not confirm this season but is moving down category for the occasion. Back on 1,600 meters, Tearan will be one to watch from the outset at listed level, as Leavesure winner last month at Bouscat.

In the third listed of the day, Prix Hampton (1,000 m – LD), reserved for older sprinters, Manon Scandella-Lacaille’s trump card, Mgheera, seems unavoidable following his second place finishes in the Prix de Saint-Georges and du Gros-Chêne. With the arrival of the last three editions of this Hampton Prize, Berneuil has been supplemented and will be one to watch as soon as it returns. Titled and in shape, Batwan, Pradaro et Vicious Harry are also in the running.
