Michael Jackson monopolized the end of the 20th century, Britney Spears unleashed the early 2000s and Taylor Swift has now invaded the airwaves for almost twenty years. The American singer has exploded the scores since her first album in 2006, with more than 50 million albums sold to date.

Although the United States remains the most fervent country, the passion for Taylor Swift has not stopped at the American borders. Marc Kolly, 23 years old Bullois, is proof of this. A loyal listener since he was 12, he knows the career of his favorite singer like the back of his hand and considers himself a “Swiftie”, an unconditional fan of the pop star.

“It was screaming in the street”

He tells us that, even if he listens to a lot of different artists, Taylor Swift remains the one who accompanies him the most on a daily basis. “I listen to it all day long. I have a playlist with its 200 songs, I could quote them all by heart. I’m at that stage,” testifies the Gruérien.

Our meeting with Marc Kolly:

Present in Los Angeles for the release of the album “Midnights” in 2022, Marc can testify to the particular passion Americans have for their idol. “There were people shouting in the street that his new album was out,” he describes.

His passion will take him to Zurich in two weeks, for two new concerts. The excitement is such that Marc expects to no longer remember the experience. “People who go to the concert are so excited that they have a kind of blackout and don’t remember much. I think that’s going to happen to me,” our Swiftie humorously anticipates.

Taylor Swift will take over the Letzigrund stadium in Zurich on July 9 and 10. And it only took thirty minutes for both concerts to be sold out.
