With his black hood pulled up on his head to hide his identity, Hugo* wanders through the city of Roy René with banknotes stuffed in his pockets.
His goal? To hide them so that the fastest Aix residents can find them. On his Instagram account @mrcashcache, which has more than 4,000 subscribers in just a few weeks, this mysterious character hides tickets before posting a video that indicates the location of the jackpot.
The first subscriber who arrives on site and finds the hiding place pockets the sum which can range from €10 to €200. A concept that already existed in cities like Marseille but which is making its appearance in Aix-en-Provence.
“I stumbled across overseas accounts doing what I do today. I found the concept cool“, explains Hugo.
Why not make it a profitable business…
The 30-year-old has several businesses”which work rather well“, if he wanted to create this account it was initially because he wanted to give a little financial boost.
“I’ve never had too much help in life so I wanted to do it. Most people need money. We’ve all had the satisfaction of finding a ticket in the street, but when we also take part in a little treasure hunt it’s great“, estimates Hugo.
