A beloved character will make an official return after more than 30 years.

Wallace and Gromit in the film A Matter of Loaf and Death – International Shorts

It’s almost 20 years after the release of the first Wallace and Gromit feature film that Netflix announces that there will be a second, Wallace & Gromit: Vengence Most Foul. The world of the cheese-loving inventor and his dog, launched in the 1980s with a first short film (A Grand Day Out), continues to evolve as creator Nick Park took inspiration from the advent of artificial intelligence to develop the new plot.

As Wallace works on his intelligent gnome invention, Gromit becomes increasingly concerned when the gnome develops the ability to think for himself.

Park also announced the big return of an antagonist loved by fans, the penguin Feather McGraw. At Variety, he confided that people often tell him that they would like to see the supervillain again. Although he has made a few cameos since his first appearance in the short The Wrong Trousers by 1993, he had not been seen again in a central role. The man who also serves as director with Merlin Crossingham says he felt now was the right time to show fans what Feather McGraw has been up to all these years.

The cast includes Ben Whitehead and Peter Kay, who reprise their roles as Wallace and Chief Inspector respectively. Joining them are Lauren Patel and Reece Shearsmith, as well as Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh and Lenny Henry who will make cameos. The film is written by Mark Burton and Nick Park, and produced by Aardman Animations.

The release of Wallace & Gromit: Vengence Most Foul is scheduled to hit Netflix for the 2024 holiday season.
