TF1 innovates. For the 26th season of “Koh-Lanta” expected at the start of the school year on its antenna, the channel has decided to shake up the mechanics of its emblematic game, by no longer putting two but three tribes into competition. During its back-to-school press conference which was held this Thursday, June 27, 2024, the group revealed the outlines of this new edition called “The Cursed Tribe”.

So there will be a yellow tribe and a red tribe, as in previous seasons, but a third team will have to be added: the cursed tribe. The candidates’ objective: “Avoid the cursed tribe and its austere island“, explains the channel.

Two former emblematic candidates returning

Another new feature: two former candidates who left their mark on the program will be making their comeback. They are Frédéric, the winner of “Koh-Lanta: the sacred fire”, broadcast in 2023, and Ugo, winner of “Koh-Lanta Malaysia” in 2013, who had already tried his luck again in the 20th anniversary edition of “Koh-Lanta: the legend”. A season that did not have a winner due to suspicions of cheating. These two “heroes” will be captains of the yellow and red teams.
