At the Trifolion in Echternach

Visitors to the Echternach festival certainly remember the Belgian singer. She came there in 2014, after winning second prize in the Queen Elisabeth Competition that same year. It was with the Korean Sumi Hwang, winner of the competition at the time, that Devos performed on the Trifolion stage. The two coloratura singers were accompanied by the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Ulrich Windfuhr. Our music critic wrote at the time: “The soprano’s sophisticated technique was very well revealed in Gilda’s famous aria from ‘Rigoletto’, ‘Dolce nome’, and in Donizetti’s no less prestigious counterpart in ‘Linda di Chamounix’ (an arioso jewel of the purest water)”.
