Prince William arrived in South Africa on Monday for his first official visit since 2010 and his first visit to Africa since 2018, when he visited Namibia, Tanzania and Kenya. He traveled to South Africa for the presentation of the Earthshot Prize and to discuss the environment and particularly animal rights.
Questioned by a BBC journalist, Prince William gave news of his wife, Kate Middleton. “She is doing very well, thank you. I hope she will watch tonight and encourage me”he began. And continue : “She was great throughout the year and I know she will be keen to see this evening be a success.”
Kate Middleton was not present alongside William
While she announced last March the end of her chemotherapy, Kate Middleton announced last September that she had finished her chemotherapy treatment. If the princess gradually took over his royal obligationsshe did not travel to South Africa with Prince William.

The princess decided to stay with her children in the United Kingdom, George, Charlotte and Louis. During her illness, she wanted to protect her young children. As Christopher Anderson explained in an interview with US Weekly on October 30, she maintained habits: “William and Kate did
great effort to reassure them that everything would be okay, and all three children were incredibly adaptable […] Their lives haven't really changed much.”he confided.
“Things are more optimistic thanks to religion”
In addition to her role as a mother, Kate Middleton would also have found refuge in religion as revealed by the Daily Mail. In his book, journalist and writer Robert Hardman lifted the veil on Kate Middleton's newfound faith. “I would say that things are more optimistic thanks to religiona family friend who goes to the same church reportedly said.
If religion apparently comforted Kate Middleton, Prince William might not appreciate this new habit of the princess. Indeed, the son of Charles III perceived as
“a modern young man who is embarrassed by certain aspects of religion” according to people close to the prince. This same source, however, specified that Prince William
“has a lot of respect for institutions even if he is not instinctively comfortable in a religious environment.”
