Saturday June 29, Les Ateliers des Arques, an artists’ residence, will charter a free bus from the village of Les Arques. Destination: Toulouse and the promising exhibitions offered by the Festival le Nouveau Printemps, in the Carmes / Saint-Étienne district, one of the oldest districts of Toulouse.
As part of the 33rd residency entitled “Residing-reinhabiting – The village, the ruin and the forest” whose artistic direction is entrusted to Emmanuel Tibloux, director of the National School of Decorative Arts, the Ateliers are joining forces with the Festival the New Spring of Toulouse. Throughout the journey, the public will be accompanied by a mediator to discover the artistic creations made by French and international artists.
For this edition, filmmaker Alain Guiraudie was invited to take a unique look at the pink city and to design a program that probes our relationship to the future, between lightness and concern, giving pride of place to youth.
10 a.m.: departure from Les Arques – parking next to the La Récréation restaurant. 12:20 p.m.: arrival in Toulouse, Place des Carmes. Independent lunch.
2:30 p.m., meet at Cour Baragnon and start the route with a festival mediator. Cour Baragnon: Mass exhibition by Pierre Pauze and June Balthazard and the exhibition of Jennifer Caubet’s research in Toulouse and Les Arques. Cour Sainte-Anne: discovery of the work “Where shall we scatter the ashes of the old world?”, by Jennifer Caubet. Paul Dupuy Museum: exhibition of Tom de Pekin and the collective exhibition “New Resistances”. Parking des Carmes: exhibition by Mimosa Echard and Neil Beloufa. Palais de Justice: exhibition by Karelle Ménine. Hôtel de Bruée: exhibition by Alice Bryggo and Louise Hallou and Alain Guiraudie. If possible: Drac Occitanie: exhibition by Tony Regazzoni. 6 p.m.: departure from Place du Pont Neuf (in front of Hôtel des Beaux-arts). 8:20 p.m.: return to Les Arques.
