the essential
It is one of the major spring events in the south of Tarn. Always eagerly awaited, the feast of Saint Baudille commune of Pont-de-Larn is this weekend!

Well known to everyone, this event launches, like every year, the series of summer village festivals. The organizers are hard at work preparing this 59th edition of the Saint Baudille festival which will be held on Friday May 31, Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2.

This year, the celebration will be marked “30 years of the bread oven”. This historic achievement which belongs collectively to all the inhabitants is, like every year, at the heart of the village festival. The large committee team coordinated by the MJC has concocted a sumptuous program like every year.

The official opening of the festivities is scheduled for Friday May 31 at 7 p.m. at the Thirondel hall. Mayor René Carayol will indeed hand over the keys to the village to the organizers of the party. This traditional ceremony which kicks off this festive weekend will be followed by a giant “fraisat” (registration required). From 10:30 p.m., the concert with the group Manhattan will of course be open to all.

The next day, Saturday June 1, the tapas “wine bar” evening which will begin at 6:30 p.m. will be hosted by the group “Les Cocc’s”. It will be followed from 10:30 p.m. by a concert with the large orchestra “Trait d’Union” and its dazzling show. The big fireworks display, the highlight of the evening for families, will be fired from 11 p.m. On Sunday June 2, from 9 a.m., the organizers will meet you at the village bread oven which will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary. Breads made on site will be available for sale. Following this, from 12 p.m., a musical aperitif will be offered. Finally at 6 p.m. an “aperitif concert” will be hosted by the Duo Koki at Thirondel. During the three days, the funfair will be in full swing. Party security is provided by national-level professionals. An unmissable event at the start of summer, the Saint Baudille festival is part of the festive and historical heritage of the festivals of South Tarn.
