David Wilson-Johnson of the Ferrandou Musique association announces: “After the astonishing Trio Hiraeth in front of full houses, we offer you two other virtuoso performers, two young superstars of the accordion and saxophone who form the Duo MZ. A musicality unforgettable in the widest repertoire imaginable. Two names to remember: David Zucchi on saxophone and Inigo Mikeleiz-Berrade on accordion. Don’t miss these guys!

The MZ Duo is a London-based ensemble composed of Canadian saxophonist David Zucchi and Spanish accordionist Inigo Mikeleiz-Berrade. Winner of the Mixed Ensemble Award in the Royal Over-Seas League Annual Music Competition and City Music Foundation Artists, the Mikeleiz-Zucchi Duo’s repertoire ranges from re-invented traditional repertory works to modern improvisation.

Both David and Inigo have distinguished themselves as award-winning performers of classical, improvised, contemporary and experimental music. Since 2019, the duo have performed in Portugal, across the UK and Europe. The duo is dedicated to creating a new repertoire for their two instruments.
