From June 30 to July 3, it’s the Cinema Festival. All sessions are 5 euros.

The summer season begins with the Fête du cinéma, a national event from June 30 to July 3. On this occasion, the screening costs 5 euros. And there will be something for everyone. The manager of the Le Casino cinema, Anne-Marie Duffès, and the projectionist Mohamed Hamzaoui indicate that this event allows “to rediscover cinema to the public and build their loyalty. […] We hope to have a lot of people and that it will be a party!”. Especially since major films are showing: The Count of Monte Cristo, Inside Out 2, A Quiet Place Day 1, A Little Extra, Bad Boys Ride or Die et The Hennedricks Family. Summer is looking just as hot with “big releases”, French and American productions such as Despicable Me 4 or Deadpool 3.

Attendance that depends on the films on display

The Casino has an audience of all ages, genders and backgrounds. “It depends on the films” says Mohamed Hamzaoui. The summer of 2023 was lively with the release of the “Barbenheimer phenomenon” (the films Barbie et Oppenheimer). Attendance thus varies depending on the offer. “It depends on what people want to see.” This year, for example, the Printemps du Cinéma did not sell out. “May is a difficult time, but the film A little something extra liked it a lot. There are sometimes very good films which do not have the expected success like the last one Mad Max.” Anne-Marie Duffès and Mohamed Hamzaoui therefore invite film buffs to take advantage of this Cinema Festival and its great programming. And what’s more, the rooms are air-conditioned!
