During the Halloween holidays, the castles of the Loire are transformed, sometimes donning magical autumnal colors, sometimes a more disturbing Halloween outfit.
Although we don’t know if they are haunted, these 5 castles of the Loire will make young and old shiver with fear or happiness during the All Saints’ Day holidays.
1. Meeting the ghosts of Meung-sur-Loire Castle
Throughout the All Saints’ Day holidays, ghosts will haunt the walls of the Meung-sur-Loire castle. A frightening journey will guide young and old through the 25 redecorated rooms of this 9th century castle, to meet its ghosts, to bring together the elements of a mysterious spell.

2. A Murder at Monte Cristo Castle
A murder was committed at the Château de Monte-Cristo in Port-Marly. Is this a dream or a reality? Is it a ghost or a living being? A team of small investigators will be responsible for resolving the investigation within the castle grounds, during the afternoon of October 22.
The presence of actor Pierre Niney is not guaranteed, however…

3. Halloween mapping at Beaugency Castle
In Beaugency, the castle, which has become a digital art center, is adorned with a disturbing outfit. From October 31 to November 2, a mapping will dress the castle in Halloween colors, while the youngest will be asked to solve investigations surrounding the murder of Raymond de Monfort and François 1er.

4. Candlelight evening walk at Amboise Castle
