Mathilde Dubois created a map to promote the gastronomy ambassadors. To do this, the original Auvergne has traveled across in a van to meet the artisans, producers and chefs. « I love finding the best places to eat, finding unusual places, the perfect spot for a picnic, surprising my loved ones with a well-planned program », confides Mathilde about herself.

Try your hand at van adventure

In 2022, she hits the roads with a Volkswagen T3, then a T4 which she buys a few months later. She travels through the Jura, Périgord, Basque Country, Alsace, Allier or even the Puy-de-Dôme. Throughout these territories, she meets roasters, chocolatiers, market gardeners, distillers, cheese wine growers, etc.

The project begins with the highlighting life stories through his Instagram account @vanitivadrouille. Then, the traveler decides to create IGN mapsnamed Van’iti. “ During my trip, I took exclusively “small roads”. This allows you to be attracted by the name of a village or a river. Loving the front of a café, stopping there, remembers Mathilde Dubois. So the idea of ​​bringing the road map up to date seemed obvious to me! »

A crowdfunding campaign

To raise funds, she uses the platform crowdfunding Kisskissbankbank. Thanks to 160 contributionsit exceeds its objective of 5,500 euros and has reached almost 7,000 euros of funds.

In this map dedicated in particular to traveling travelersusers will discover addresses all tested by the founder. On the front, you will find the map of the department or region, advice vanlife and a itinerary of six days. On the back, the address index will be classified, with artisans and producers, nature and heritage, recommendations from locals… Note that the card gives access to coupons that offer surprises from artisans.
