Questioned by RTL, the actor spoke about his mourning and the loneliness he has felt since the disappearance of Alain Delon. “Bereavement takes time, things fall into place. There are ups and downs naturally. It’s never easy,” he assures.

“I am an orphan, I have no one left. (…) All the people who built my life, who made me what I became, are all gone. (…) It takes time to get used to all that,” he adds to RTL.

“People have not forgotten him”

Anthony Delon also said he was very moved by the tributes paid to his father around the world after his death and by the many fans gathered in front of the actor’s residence in Douchy on the day of his death.

“The presence of these people in Douchy was something very moving, it’s true,” he confided. “But I realized that after his disappearance, at the international level, it was like an explosion”

“As it’s been a long time since it really toured, I think people… They haven’t forgotten it… But they were a little dormant, and all of a sudden there’s had this explosion and they said to themselves, ‘We lost Delon! They realized the icon who was gone, the great actor that he was and who bowed out,’ continues Anthony Delon.

To perpetuate the memory of his father, Anthony Delon hopes that the actor’s residence in Douchy can “continue to live, in one way or another”. “It was not one of his wishes that it not become a public place,” assures the actor.
