Saraca Prize (L.): Joviality for confirmation
Reserved for 2-year-olds over the distance of 1,400 meters, this new edition of the Prix Saraca (L.) could well fall into the hands of Jovialitywinner by six lengths for her debut over 1,300 meters, on September 9 in Saint-Cloud. The resident of Fabrice Chappet will however face much more experienced subjects likeEternal Elixirtrained by Archie Watson, who has just finished third in the Ascendant Stakes (L. – 1,600m) in Haydock (England). Also trained on the other side of the Channel, but by William Haggas, Yaroogh reassured by winning his handicap after failing in a Group III, in August at York. Finally, Scandalthird in the Prix François Boutin (Gr.III) this summer at Deauville, should perform well according to his mentor, Mauricio Delcher-Sanchez. “He is in very good form. I leave confident even if I will have to adapt to the very soft track.”
Le Fabuleux Prize (L.): Fast Tracker on appeal
Thirteenth in the Prix du Jockey Club (Gr.I) while he was favorite, Fast Tracker probably did not meet the expectations of those around him. Left to rest during the summer, the son of Churchill has since made his comeback in the Prix du Prince d’Orange (Gr.III), on September 8 at Longchamp, where he took fifth place. On Saturday, Henri-Alex Pantall’s resident goes down another notch and will logically be very prominent. He is still on appeal. And if the Wathnan Racing protégé were to disappoint, there is no doubt that the supplement, Bubble Gumthird in the Prix de Liancourt (L.), should seize the opportunity. Like Zen Spirit, fifth in the Grand Prix de la Région Grand-Est-12th Stage of the Défi du Galop (L.), who will set off with the confidence of her trainer, Victoria Head. “I think he has behaved very well towards his elders recently. This is a foal that likes very soft tracks. The lot is of quality but it should be able to hold its part well.”
