The Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers of Quebec published this Thursday the most recent statistics on the residential real estate market in the province of Quebec.

The median price of single-family homes has now crossed the $410,000 mark in the Joliette agglomeration. It was $399,000 in the previous quarter.

In the Joliette agglomeration, the third quarter is synonymous with a slight decrease in sales of single-family homes. A total of 71 single-family properties were sold, representing a decrease of 4%.

All sales combined (single-family, condominiums and 2 to 5 dwellings), the Association notes an increase of 6%.

However, the agglomeration of Joliette remains one of the most accessible cities in the Lanaudière region.

In Terrebonne the median price of a single-family home is now $530,000 (+4%), in Mascouche $548,000 (+7%), in Repentigny $525,000 (+9%), in Saint-Lin-Laurentides $442,000 (+11%) and in the Eastern sector of the North Shore including L’Assomption, Charlemagne and Saint-Sulpice $478,000 (+9%).

Provincially, 20,620 residential sales were recorded in the third quarter of 2024, which represents an increase of 13% compared to the equivalent period of 2023. This is a significantly higher level of transactional activity to the average recorded for this time of year since data was compiled by Centris in 2000.
