Météo- is keeping Seine-et- on red “flood” alert, this Thursday, October 10, after the passage of depression Kirk. Eure-et-Loir, Meurthe-et-, Orne, , Deux-Sèvres and Vendée are on orange “flood” alert.

“The bad weather associated with the Kirk depression is weakening and gradually evacuating,” explains the forecaster.

The municipalities affected by the heaviest rainfall in recent hours, reaching or around 80 mm, were Montigny-le-Bretonneux (), Noirmoutier (Vendée) and Nogent-le-Rotrou (Eure-et-Loir).

Tens of thousands of homes remain without electricity this morning, mainly in the southwest of the country. In Seine-et-Marne, a mudslide was reported overnight, as were floods in Eure-et-Loir.
