“Thank you, Attitude Magazine.” It’s an honor to be the person of the year. What a privilege to arrive in London in this way.” This is what Nemo wrote in the caption of its publication on October 10, where we can see the artist, originally from Bienne, on the cover of the queer magazine. The carousel reveals the entire photoshoot.

The Eurovision star also gave an interview to the British media, looking back on her six months of success since her victory. “It’s an overwhelming experience. Mentally, I feel like a part of me is missing. I am either extremely euphoric or on the verge of a nervous breakdown at times,” we can read.

At the awards ceremony on October 9 at London’s Roundhouse, Nemo gave an acceptance speech, viewable on the magazine’s social media channels. Among the guests, we noted the presence of personalities such as Elton John, Ed Sheeran and Vanessa Williams. With light humor, Nemo added while taking his trophy: “This prize seems stronger than the Eurovision one,” referring to how he had accidentally broken his trophy after his victory.

Nemo concluded his speech with his words: “This award represents freedom for me. My journey has always been focused on this quest for freedom — that of expressing myself, creating what matters to me and simply being myself. These are privileges that I never take for granted.” He then dedicated his award to those fighting for this same freedom in regions of the world like Sudan, Congo, Palestine and Ukraine, where survival is at the heart of concerns.
