The famous Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves is recognized for his roles in the series The Matrix or John Wick, in particular, where there is no shortage of action.
But this weekend, at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the 60-year-old star got behind the wheel for his first professional car race and he finished without a hit.
During the GR Cup Series, Reeves was behind the wheel of the #92 Eagles Canyon Racing Toyota car. Dubbed BRZRKR, the car was in the colors of a graphic novel series, The Book of Elsewhere, for which Reeves is currently on a promotional tour.
The race, included in the festivities of Indy 8 Hour sports car eventhad 35 cars. Reeves, who scored as high as 21st, finished the event in 25th with teammate Cody Jones, a member of content creators Dude Perfect.
Prior to this race, Reeves won a celebrity race in 2009, again driving a Toyota.
The silver screen veteran showed he belonged behind the wheel in this sequence as he avoided an early end to the race due to going off the track.
Still on the theme of speed in cars, Reeves will celebrate thirty years since the cinematic release of the film Speed in which he starred alongside Sandra Bullock in 1994.
