A successful week! From September 16 to 21, the Bastide vibrated to the rhythm of the “Sport and culture” festival organized by the CastiFestival association, an event which kept all its promises.

Success of the artistic exhibition

more than 300 visitors discovered the astonishing exhibition organized in the Carbonnier room, where works by artists of all ages were presented. The enthusiastic comments written in the guestbook already invite you to repeat this first experience. The Olympic mascot, also present, is still amazed!

Inspiring conferences and meetings

The conferences around well-known local sportsmen left an impression, particularly during the opening evening dedicated to rugby. The rugby initiations, organized in collaboration with the college, have probably sparked future vocations, as have the captivating interventions of Lucie Jarrige, five-time climbing-handisport world champion. She inspired many young people.

Workshops and activities for young people

Under the direction of CastiDrole, the writing workshops allowed the children to produce remarkable work. School and college students were able to take advantage of the climbing wall made available to them. Some even challenged Lucie Jarrige to a thrilling race to the top of the wall.

First dives and risk prevention

The most courageous had the opportunity to try their hand at diving under the supervision of the lifeguard and the Fumel Club. The association would like to thank Safeguarding and SDIS for their participation. The “testochoc” vehicle also attracted many curious people.

Festive and musical atmosphere

The parade led by the banda Les Verts à Pieds energized the heart of the city, leading adults and children in a joyful parade under the watchful eye of merchants. To top it off, each participant received a chocolate medal, specially designed by Rody Chocolaterie.

The week ended in style with two concerts by Chantal Guerzoni and Stanley Hanks, bringing together around a hundred people for the closing meal on the Place des Cornières.

CastiFestival would like to warmly thank the volunteers, Ciné 4, the traders, the sponsors, the departmental council, the community of municipalities, the donors and the municipality of Castillonnès for their support.

This festival was a rich and memorable experience for everyone and the association now hopes to make it long-lasting. Congratulations to the CastiFestival association which spared no effort!
