A tidal wave. Just a few hours after its release on Netflix, the thriller “La Plateforme 2” rose to the top of the world ranking of the most viewed films on the American streaming platform. Four years after the enormous success of the first part (82.8 million views, 5th biggest success in the history of Netflix for a non-English-speaking film) the sequel to this terrifying social allegory on the decay of a dying humanity hungry, quickly found a buyer among Netflix’s 230 million subscribers. According to the specialized site Flix Patrol, “La Plateforme 2” is currently the most consumed film in 56 countries, including the United States, France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Switzerland, Mexico, etc. …
But what is this film about?
A dark and violent thriller not recommended for those under 18 by the SVOD giant, “The Platform 2” follows two new prisoners, Perempuán (Milena Smit) and Zamiatín (Hovik Keuchkerian). While a mysterious leader imposes his law within the platform, they will have to unite to fight against a cruel new power system. “But how far would you go to save your skin when a simple mistake in your attitude could mean your death sentence?” Netflix tease in the series’ press kit.
