Discover the first Brest selection of the 2024 Tréteaux chantants

This Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Maison du Théâtre de Lambézellec, the first selection for the Tréteaux chantants singing competition took place, in front of 230 spectators. This selection concerned the districts of Lambézellec and Bellevue. At the opening of this Brest edition, the audience sang “All the boys and girls”, in tribute to Françoise Hardy, who died on June 11, before listening to the winner of the 2023 edition, Alain Le Bris, who came perform “The Old Married” by Michel Sardou. At the end of twelve quality performances, it was finally Elisabeth Pleiber who won with the song “Je t’aime encore”, by Céline Dion. She qualifies for the Brest final which will be held on November 19 at the Georges-Vigier hall of the Sanquer Secular Patronage. She will be accompanied by Michel Le Lann, second thanks to his interpretation of the song “La goëlette”, Les Goristes, André Martinez, third with Serge Lama’s hit “Je suis Mala” and Angèle Casas-Mateu, fourth with “Chanson pour Anna”, by Daniel Guichard. The public was won over by the performance of the twelve candidates and did not fail to give them a standing ovation.

Next meeting on October 19

The awards were presented to the participants by Fortuné Pellicano, deputy mayor of Brest in charge of entertainment, Sylvie Jestin and Jacqueline Héré, deputy mayors in charge of the Lambézellec and Bellevue districts respectively. The next Brest selection, for the Saint-Marc and Europe sectors, will take place on October 19, not at the PL Sanquer room as initially planned, but at the Atalante room of the Horizons social center in the Europe district, due to the meeting between Stade Brestois 29 and Stade Rennais at Le Blé.
