With an attendance of around 5,500 people, the fourth edition of “Un été sous les Marronniers” confirmed its status as a flagship summer event in downtown Nyon, attracting an ever larger and more diverse audience. Organized by the City of Nyon in collaboration with the Rencontre ta Côte (RTC) association and various local associations, the 2024 edition transformed the Esplanade des Marronniers into a privileged place for culture and meetings.

From June to September, the esplanade vibrated with a total of 74 activities, including 16 concerts offering a varied musical program, ranging from jazz to rock, classical music and DJ sets. The performing arts were also in the spotlight with 19 shows, including improvisational performances, theater, storytelling and stand-up. In parallel, 23 participatory activities such as karaoke, qi-gong, cardio dance and chess offered participants many opportunities to get actively involved in moments of relaxation and sharing.

The Nyon museums enriched the event with 16 creative workshops, adding an additional cultural and participatory dimension to the program. The season ended in style with a silent party, organized in partnership with Usine à Gaz, bringing together participants in a festive and dynamic atmosphere.

Despite sometimes unpredictable weather conditions at the start of the season, the event was able to adapt and maintain a large part of its programming, thus offering moments of culture and conviviality throughout the summer.

With its unique setting and breathtaking view, the Esplanade des Marronniers attracts a loyal community as well as new people every year. The growing success of the event is a testament to the public’s enthusiasm, reinforcing the natural place of this event in the city’s summer entertainment.
