A festival close to the public
Documentaries & Fictions in competition, Previews with teams, Young Audience films, Carte Blanches and Master Class: book your places quickly to discover a selection of the best films soon to be shown! That’s the Valenciennes cinema festival 2. Jean-Marc Delcambre, its director, gives us details of the program.

Pierre-Jean Laroque, a costume artist
For film enthusiasts, the festival allows you to meet film professionals. A masterclass is planned for Tuesday, October 1st at 9:30 am at the Pathé cinema in Valenciennes with Pierre-Jean Laroque, costume designer who has received 4 Césars for his work. He explains it to us.
Another personality to discover during a masterclass on Monday, September 30 at 9:30 am at the Pathé in Valenciennes, Constance Demontoy. She notably worked on the series Dix pour Cent. What does her job consist of? She explains it to us in “Séries d’Ici”.
Furthermore, Constance is calling for a casting!
YOUTH CASTING
For a mini-series for France TV of David Hourrègue (SKAM, GERMINAL, CUT, etc.) casting directors Constance Demontoy and Beatriz Coutrot (members of ARDA) are looking for young people between 16 and 20 years old for the main roles:
- LILOUgirls of all origins. Cheeky, charming, lively. Must be immediately endearing. Lilou is corrosive, piquant and endearing.
- ANGELICLots of charm and character. She is very beautiful and unpredictable.
- SARAHMagnetic, secretive. Gentleness and an intense look. Good swimmer
- FANNYWise, gentle, with curves
- EDERboys of all origins. Lunar and offbeat.
- ERICVery handsome, charismatic, comfortable.
Filming will take place in the Hauts de France region between December 2024 and March 2025.
(A few days of filming planned in Corsica for one of the roles)
