Matvei Michkov flashed the red light twice, including once in overtime, to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins.
The Russian first tied the score two at the start of the second period by hitting a flying puck right near the post.
Michkov carried his magic into overtime by sealing the outcome of the match with a good wrist shot after showing a lot of patience. It was his third goal of the preparatory calendar.
Travis Konecny was an accomplice on both goals for the 19-year-old right winger.
Marchessault shines in a Preds feast
The Predators easily disposed of the Lightning in a clear 6-0 victory.
Jonathan Marchessault particularly stood out. In addition to collecting assists on goals from Philip Tomasino and Tommy Novak, the Quebecer also rocked the ropes at the end of the second period to conclude his evening with three points.
