Do you see green or blue? This test intrigues thousands of Internet users

BFMTV tells the surprising origins of this test. This now popular test was created following an argument between a neurologist and his ophthalmologist wife. They did not agree on the color of their cover: “We had an argument about the color of a blanket in our house. I think it’s green and she thinks it’s clearly blue.”says the creator of the test.

The dress affair unleashes the eyes

The neurologist then decided to use artificial intelligence to create a test to assess how each person perceives turquoise and cyan. The test was then called “Is my blue your blue?”. The principle consists of asking Internet users to associate what they see on their screen with the color green or blue. The results of the test then inform them about how they perceive these colors compared to other people who took the test. Since color perception is subjective, it depends on various factors such as education, the conditions in which one finds oneself, or even the brightness.

Since the test was created, more than 1.5 million people have participated, not hesitating to share their results on social networks. Internet users then took advantage of online platforms to exchange their different visions of colors and debate. “Is my blue your blue?” then went viral.
