The CGT launches a strike at Abbeville hospital the day after the launch of the white plan

Planned for several days, the strike launched by the CGT au hospital center d’Abbeville (Somme) began on Monday January 6, 2025. Coincidentally, this social movement began the day after the launch of the white plan decided by the management of the establishment following an increase in winter pathologies.

We request payment for overtime at the request of staff.

“We ask management to take our demands into account: to give agents sufficient human and material resources to ensure optimal quality of care with the hiring of caregivers and nurses corresponding to the addition of hours additional generated in 2024” indicates the union who has other complaints.

Reminders from agents about their rest time considered harassing

“We are asking for payment of overtime at the request of staff, respect for disconnection from work, and an end to calls for agents home during their rest time which could be considered harassing. Also, we demand an end to an authoritarian, punitive and biased policy on the part of management. We also want respect for regulations and social dialogue” adds Pascal Maccrezgeneral secretary of the CGT of the Abbeville CH.

Questioned following this strike, the director of the hospital Hélène Derrudre said: “we met with the union beforehand to take stock. Another meeting took place with the HR department (human resources department) on January 6. »

The director continues: “there is indeed a dialogue with the unions, we respond to requests daily. We listen to them but it is not possible to fulfill all requests for budgetary reasons. »

A new replacement policy planned for the end of March

“Regarding overtime, we are working with all the social partners in working groups for a new policy on replacement. By the end of next March, we will be able to present a policy in this area to the authorities” announces Hélène Deruddre.

As for the strike, in the current context, the movement is little followed according to the management of the establishment.
