The apiary named after Anny Auzeral

The connected educational apiary of the urban park has housed, since 2021, four hives managed by beekeepers Jean and Bertrand Auzeral. It now bears the name Rucher d’Anny.

Passionate about the world of bees, Jean and Anny Auzeral had set up their honey farm on their Cassipontine land to make it a prosperous business, dedicated to bees, transmitting the virus to Bertrand, one of their children. Together, they worked to protect bees and pollinate them.

It was in honor of Anny, who passed away in 2019, that the Auzeral family was recently invited by Mayor Christian Delbrel and the municipal council to the apiary to name it after Anny by affixing a plaque on the door. This was an opportunity for Bertrand and his father Jean, under the interested gaze of grandson Lucien, to explain the evolution of this apiary. The Auzeral family was surrounded by beekeeper friends, Patrick Granziera, president of L’Abeille gasconne of which Bertrand Auzeral was also president for eleven years, as well as Jean-Paul Remondi, Jean-Marc Boutrois and Jean-Luc Sansou, secretary of the Rucher-école de Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot whose president is Jean Auzeral.

Beautiful and moving tribute to Anny Auzeral.
