The regional police station of the National Family and Population Office (ONFP) in Ben Arous organized, on Sunday, November 3, free consultations for early detection of breast cancer, in a commercial space in the region, and actions of information and awareness on the occasion of “Pink October”.

On this occasion, the President and CEO of the Office Mohamed Douagi underlined the importance of this event which closes the awareness campaign on breast cancer screening, launched by the Office in the different regions of the country.

He indicated that this campaign, which was held for a month, included more than 600 awareness-raising actions across all regions of the country, health caravans in hospitals and educational settings, in addition to the pink train dedicated to the fight against breast cancer, with the participation of specialist doctors who provided screening consultations and referred patients to health establishments. For her part, ONFP regional commissioner Samira Karboul specified that the organization of free consultations in a commercial space in the southern suburbs of the capital aims to diversify activities on the ground and target a larger number of beneficiaries to make them aware of the importance of breast cancer screening and to slow its progression.
