Pink October and Movember
As the firefighters let us know in a press release sent to us, “the colors of fall 2024 will be pink and blue for the Rodez firefighters“. Indeed, these will display a special badge for the next eight weeks.
It will honor two central events during the fall in France: Pink October and Movember. The first campaign is intended to raise awareness among women about breast cancer screening, while the second is a month to fight against male diseases.

The badge specially created for the occasion will also a nice nod to the city of Rodezsince as the press release notes, it “takes up the ‘codes’ of Ruthenian identity with the silhouettes of the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Soulages Museum“.
For the League Against Cancer
Latest point reported by the Aveyron Departmental Fire and Rescue Service: “the benefits of this internal operation at the rescue center will be donated to the League Against Cancer“.
